Bolton Scout Trust (BST) was formed in 1981 to give support to Scouting in Bolton. BST bought Bibbys Farm in 2001, developed it as a Scout Campsite and Activity Centre opened in May 2005.

The site has 28 acres, a stone built 36 bed dormitory including kitchen and showers/toilets, separate toilet/shower block, warden's accommodation and separate canteen.

It has an old agricultural barn, now housing indoor shooting and archery ranges and climbing wall as well as storage for all the equipment.

From its opening in 2005 the site has been successful and in 2010 saw 1280 accommodation nights, 3505 camping nights and 1454 day visitors - a total of 6239 people using the site.
